The Packard was considered the preeminent luxury car before WWII. Packards were owned by European royalty, celebrities, and corporate America. President Franklin Roosevelt was even know to have given Packards as gifts on several occasions.
You can find photos of this car on the internet while it was in the AACA Museum since 2004. We were told the car was used in the HBO TV show Boardwalk Empire.
The trim is excellent on the sedan. Much of it is brass and still in excellent condition.
The Goddess Of Speed was first introduced as the Packard Single 8 hood ornament in 1925 and was later put on other models. It was later followed by the Cormorant or Swan in the 1930s.
The owner bought the car without the horn cover. He could not find one, but has the horn set up to work.
The 53625 miles are said to be original.
The interior was more than likely restored at some point.
The rear cabin lights are actually working.
The straight 6 runs great. This is a really nice driving car.
The rear trunk could use some new leather straps. This is how it was at the museum.
All of the wood is in excellent condition through out the car.
The title reflects the body number 101926.
