It is now extremely important that when replacing your head unit that you are able to retain these features, which is exactly what radio replacement modules are designed to do. PAC Audio SWI-RC:
Factory Steering Wheel Control Radio Interface allows you to keep your Steering Wheel Controls when you're upgrading your factory radio to a new select aftermarket radio from Alpine, JVC, Clarion, Kenwood, Pioneer, Sony, Valor, OEM, Boyo, Dual, Visteon, and Advent & Blaupunkt Radios.
Radio Requirements:
The aftermarket radio
MUST
be equipped with a wired remote input (3.5mm headphone style jack or Blue/Yellow wire) to be compatible (ex. a port or wire on the back of the radio labeled W/R, REM, Wired Remote, Remote, Rem Cont etc.). If the radio does not have a wired remote input then you will need to use the SWI-X.
Compatibility Issues:
NOT
compatible with the following Kenwood models:
KDC-X598
,
KDC-BT318U
,
KDCBT-758-HD
,
KDCBT-558U
,and
KDC-X798
.
The Clarion model CZ500 does not support remote Bluetooth controls.
JVC model numbers KW-NT1 and KW-NT3HDT do not support Presets Up and Down from steering wheel controls.
Pioneer AVIC-Fxxx radios do not interpret radio preset seeking commands. This is a limitation of the radio not the SWI-RC. There is no correction for this unless it comes from Pioneer.
Pioneer radios with Bluetooth feature, the steering wheel controls will not adjust the phone call volume. The phone call volume must be adjusted on the face of the radio. This is a limitation of the radio not the SWI-RC. There is no correction for this unless it comes from Pioneer.
Only the AVIC-Z110BT, Z120BT, Z130BT, Z140BH and the AVIC-X920BT, X930BT, X940BT will support the Voice Recognition function via wired remote input.

Returns
Customers need to request an RA (Return Authorization) for returns within 30 days of purchase. Gilded_Inc reserves the right to impose a minimum restocking fee of 15% for returning an item that is unopened and in brand new condition. Shipping and handling fees are not refundable under any circumstances. Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. We offer a 1 year exchange warranty against manufacturer defects. If a item is returned as defective within 30 days and is found not to be it will be subject to a restocking fee. After 30 days any product returned as defective that is found not to be will be returned to buyer at buyers expense.
