    Description

    Set of 4 antique Thomas Taylor Glasgow lawn bowls, Bias 3, made of Lignum Vitae (the hardest wood) most probably made pre-1st World War, according to the manufacturer. The inlays on top and bottom are beautifully engraved, and there are text markings on the balls (some legible, some harder to read--see photos.) Each bowl measures about 15.75 inches in circumference, 5 inches in diameter, and each weighs about 3lbs 2 oz. The bowls are in good antique condition with scratches and minor cracks commensurate with their century-old age and use--see photos. Quite beautiful.
